Naprosyn, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, can be used to alleviate the inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis (the most common form of arthritis), juvenile arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (spinal arthritis), tendinitis, bursitis, and acute gout; it is usually used to ease menstrual cramps and other kinds of mild to moderate pain. Naprosyn is surely an NSAID. They do not treat the illness that triggers those symptoms.
