Before taking eszopiclone, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you happen to be allergic to it; in order to zopiclone; or in the event you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, that may cause allergy symptoms and other problems. Talk to your friendly phamacist for additional information.
Before using prescription drugs, tell a medical expert or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, liver disease, lung/breathing problems (like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease-COPD, sleep apnea), mental/mood problems (for example depression, thoughts of suicide), personal or family history of standard use/abuse of medicine/alcohol/other substances, personal or ancestors and family history of sleepwalking, some muscle disease (myasthenia gravis).
The effects of the drug may last even after you awaken the next day. If you failed to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep or took other medications that made you sleepy or are more sensitive to this particular drug, you could feel alert although not concentrate enough to operate a vehicle. Wait at least 8 hours after using this drug before driving, and usually do not drive, use machinery, or do any action that requires alertness until you are sure it is possible to perform such activities safely. Avoid booze. If you take the milligram dosage of eszopiclone, do not drive, use machinery, or do any pursuit that requires alertness in the morning.
Before having surgery, tell a medical expert or dentist about all the products you utilize (including prescription medications, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products).
Older adults could be more responsive to the unwanted side effects of this drug, especially dizziness, confusion, unsteadiness, and excessive drowsiness. These side effects can improve the probability of falling. Also start to see the How To Use section.
This medication needs to be used only when clearly needed while pregnant. Discuss the risks and benefits with a medical expert. Infants born to mothers having medicines near the time of delivery may have undesirable effects such as excessive sleepiness. Tell your medical professional in the event you notice such effects in your newborn.
It is unknown if medicines passes into breast milk. However, similar drugs pass into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
