Lanoxin is employed for treating heart failure and slowing the heart rate in patients with chronic atrial fibrillation, a sort of abnormal heart rhythm. Lanoxin is often a digitalis glycoside. It works by helping the force of contraction of the guts and slowing pulse rate.
